Hi Everyone, I hope you're serving hot freshly brewed tea here. It's been quite a week. Everytime I stop to take a breath theres something else happening. We're trying to book air tickets to San Francisco and co-ordinate a trip to Cape Town for 14...

Things are going to get a bit hectic if I have to keep updating two places so I'm adding a link to my regular blog here (I'm still new at this - I've only been going about two weeks). It's a pretty low key daily account of my teaching space. I'm finding I'm getting into the habit as I perservere and now I can start to look at adding some bells and whistles. Let's see what I can do with Maggie's tools........
This is a picture of my working/ learning space with some of the darlings in Grade 3.
I'm actually not as confident about this as I sound. I just thought I have to give it a try. My grade 2 group are playing games until lunch bell so I thought I'd play too.
Hi Brenda. Sorry for the late reply. I'm from Singapore and presently teaching at a secondary school. The classes I teach ranged from secondary 1 to secondary 4. I think that's equivalent to grade 7 up to grade 10, if I'm not wrong. I'm teaching Malay language to the pupils here. Presently, I'm exploring the use of Ning as a teaching and learning platform with my students. We are using the blogging tool at Ning and I'm able to showcase some of my students' work on the video tool available at Ning. I do hope we can continue to keep in touch and exchange ideas on how to maximize web 2.0 technology for the benefit of our pupils.
Hi Brenda
Thanks for the message. I feel a bit lost with all the links and buttons - bit like a maze. I am worried that I will miss out on fun or new info because I do not know whre to click and read. Anyway - I suppose it is like all new things - after a while you can not imagine that you could not do this at the beginning. My students are a bit older than yours, same colour though ;-) I love them to bits - they appreciate everything you do and are not ashamed to shout from the second floor that they love you. Never want to teach any other group ever again. They grew up without any technology, and I hope to expose them to as much new ways of doing things as possible. What a privilege for your kids to have such a with-it teacher at such a young age!!
