Learn Web 2.0 with Maggie

Join me on my Web 2.0 learning journey!!

I am starting this discussion to invite all you to uplaod your action plans. I would like input on mine as it seems a bit airy fairy. The main aim of my blog is to , first give more visibility to the works that I am doing, secondly to force me to refect on a regular bases and thirdly to have an intercative space whre relevant stakeholdrrs like sponsors and partners that we collaborate (DoE) with can be kept up to date about what is happening. I am not sure whether I would keep the blog private or only some pages. I would appreciate your input to keep the blog realistic.:)

I wonder is there a way to have your work automatically checked for spelling errors

Hi sandra,

Only one thing that I am not quote clear about....in 4) you say that you want to create a network.....do you mean a network or do you mean a blog (they are 2 quite different tools )?

I think for starters you need to create a space (you can later extend it to become a network- networks are hard work...) you can allow/invite your teachers, learners to do guest blog posts but at first focus on getting all the essential info ready...

Love the logical way in which you created your action plan!!!

I have been very busy in the past couple of weeks. Once I registered for this un-workshop I opened my Edublog for the first time since January. I believe in reflective learning but never personally did much about it for my teaching and learning practice - apart from the odd comment to myself in my lesson planning book. I decided the only way to do it properly is to blog so I started afresh. That's fine for my teacher hat, but what about my personal and family stuff? I have now re-started a blog I had in Blogger (don't worry I have a whole notebook full of user names and passwords!!). I now post stuff I want to share with family and friends there.
I am hoping that regular blogging will also keep me on my toes professionally. I need to ask, "Do I have anything innovative and interesting that's worth blogging about?" It makes one feel a bit vulnerable sharing one's professional practice.

This is going to be my third try. I couldn't get into Slideshare tonight so I thought I'd do my action plan in Inspiration and upload it from my pc. So here goes.

@Sandra
I love your idea of using a mind map for your action plan. You have triggered so many ideas for me - I really think the idea of selling your Blog to the board and other stakeholders is an excellent idea. Also, the idea of having an OutReach blog is great. Would the finances from the Board also assist you with OutReach? Would your OutReach blog be separate from your sponsers blog? I would love to clarify these ideas because I'm also struggling to decide which way my own blog is going. One doesn't want to share too many private matters in a blog for staff perusal BUT having too many blogs becomes very cumbersome. If the blogs are hidden or hard to reach, then you don't achieve the aim of building up a community which Maggie is always stressing.
Regards,
C
